FAQ'S
Do I need planning permission? Garden rooms normally don’t need planning permission as the building normally falls under permitted development total height of build under 2.5m high externally, if your in conservation area we will submit a permitted development enquiry to your local council to get their response, if they come back with planning permission required, we can have the drawings drawn up buy a Architect and submitted on your behalf.
Can I use the garden room all year round? Yes, with the use of PIR Insulation in the floor, walls, & ceiling they are warm enough to use throughout the whole year each garden room is fitted with a wall mounted Rointe oil filled heater as standard.
My son plays a lot of instruments how can you help? We have a Acoustic Pack available although it does not sound proof your Garden Room it does help reduce up to 45 decibels of sound.
Can you offer electrical connection from my house to my garden room? Yes, we offer a complete electrical package from your house to garden room at additional costs, which will be broken down for you in your quote.
Can you help with planning permission if required? Yes, if it comes to you need planning we work alongside a architect which can provide & submit a planning application on your behalf, get in touch info@thegardenden.co.uk for more help.
My garden is a L shaped can you make me a bespoke garden room? Yes, all of our garden rooms are bespoke and built on site to required design.
When will I receive my quote? This happens up to 1 week after a site visit to your property to make sure your garden room can be built under permitted development, you will also receive a 3d visualisation of your build, this can not be used for planning.
What are the payment terms for our Garden room? 1st payment - 50% deposit 8 weeks before the build commences. 2nd payment - 48% once your build is up wind and watertight and before cladding starts. Final payment - 2% once your build is complete and everything is to your satisfaction.
